Give a toy to learn from Kay Bojesen was himself a childish soul and a big kid, and he loved generating ideas in children’s imaginations. In the 1950s, he originally created his alphabet blocks for Danish schools. Now they are back in production for the benefit of younger children who need to learn the alphabet, for slightly older children who need to learn to spell and for adults who want to play the s-p-e-l-l-i-n-g g-a-m-e. This is a gift that will be passed down the generations. Dimmension: 10,5 CM X 27 CM X 10 CM.

The Kay Bojesen blocks are the perfect newborn gift or birthday gift, but also appeal to adult design lovers with their unmistakable references to the Bauhaus typologies. This classic Danish ABC Wooden Alphabet Block set comes packaged in a beautiful wooden gift box. Set includes 66 wooden blocks + 1 wooden case = 67 piece total.  Kay Bojesen was a leading Scandinavian functionalist and his architecture and designs are known for their simple, architectonic style.

Originally designed in 1950.

Kay Bojesen

Kay Bojesen graduated as a silversmith in 1910 after completing his apprenticeship with silversmith Georg Jensen. As one of the first Danish artisans to do so, he embraced functionalism.
