The premium blankets, tea towels and table runner are made from half-linen. The fiber is pre-washed and is therefore particularly soft and very easy to maintain, the cotton is grown organically. The Finnish designer Reeta EK designed the pattern for the autumn 2015 for the Finnish family business. The intricate pattern is in the Jarquardverfahren from the weaving mill in Lapua woven in Finland.

Only wash if textile is very dirty, otherwise take textile outdoors in fresh air for a while. Hand wash at max. 30°C or dry clean. If using powder detergent, dissolve it in plenty of water. Immerse the blanket in the water and wash immediately. Squeeze gently. Do not scrub, stretch or wring out. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out most of the water. Press the blanket between towels until half-dry and leave it to dry in an airy space. Do not tumble dry. Iron with a damp cloth, max. 150°C.

Reeta Ek

Reeta Ek is MA student of Textile Art and Design in the Aalto University on Arts, Design and Architecture. She has also studied Fine Arts, and already in her paintings she became interested in repeats, patterns and building a surface. She sketches by hand; plenty of drawings inspired by the subconscious – surfaces, rhythms, lines. The ESKIMO pattern was created when she played with wooden Eskimo ice cream sticks. The best ideas come from everyday life, things that were not originally intended as art.
