'My Name is Pippi' plate from Rörstrand’s Pippi tableware collection is illustrated with the colourful adventures of Pippi Longstocking. Created by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren, Pippi Longstocking is a playful, unconventional and superhumanly strong girl who lives in her own villa with her best friends, a monkey and a horse. The hard-wearing, ceramic tableware collection was designed by Björn Hedlund based on the original illustrations by Ingrid Vang-Nyman.

Bjorn Hedlund
Björn Hedlund is a Swedish designer and artist whose versatile career includes book and cover art illustrations as well as fonts and logos. His best known and most widely spread work is undoubtedly the orange envelope of Swedish government’s Pension Agency. Hedlund has studied at Sweden’s Grafiska Institutet, and his designs are represented at museums such as Stockholm’s Moderna Museet and Malmö Museum.
