This is the Hexa rug from our kilim collection, a piece available in a hexagonal or rectangular format. Its design shows, in all its complexity, the numerous geometric possibilities that a mosaic of hexagons encloses, with lines in all directions that generate different types of triangles, different sizes of diamonds and hexagons, and even rectangles and octagons.

Kilim wełniany 261x300 HEXA by Enblanc.

Some figures appear outlined, while others are solid colors, in sought-after randomness. Hexa is a design by Enblanc, made with threads of various shades of green, orange, brown, garnet, red, crude, blue and black. It is a very light piece and, in addition, reversible.

HEXA, A RUG FROM OUR KILIM COLLECTION

The kilim is an artisan method of rug making in which the weft is tightly woven on a manual loom, using only threads and no knotting. The result is a light fabric with no pile, similar to that of upholstery. It is a technique that offers great flexibility, a feature that GAN explores thoroughly to create high-impact details.

ENBLANC, DESIGNERS OF THE HEXA KILIM

Enblanc is a Valencia-based studio that specializes in product design, spaces and graphic communication, founded by Paula Aloy and José Aranda in 2007. The combination of these three specialties has allowed them, over time, to address proposals with a multidisciplinary approach. Enblanc has been diversifying its activity since its inception, progressing from furniture and product design for the interior design industry to conceiving complete spaces, both commercial, exhibition and residential. Additionally, they have developed parallel graphic identity projects for the food and beverage industry, as well as corporate image makeovers for service companies and cultural events. Their graphic skill can be perceived in the character of the rugs they have designed for GAN.
