Lapuan Kankurit is helping the Baltic Sea.
Lapuan Kankurit has begun a cooperation with the John Nurminen Foundation. The Foundation's Clean Baltic Sea projects advance the protection of the joint, unique marine environment, so a cooperation is a natural part of the activities of a responsible, design weaving mill using natural materials.

Linen is natural material that feels nice against the skin. Linen is very absorbent and fast drying. This is why it is an excellent material for towels. 100% washed linen has been wash treated in our production for the best absorbent and drying qualities.
Large towel 95x180 cm is the perfect companion for beach, it dryes fast between the dips in the water and it’s big enough to use as a beach blanket. AALLOKKO hand towel 48x70 cm, that is also suitable as a tea towel.

Reeta Ek is MA student of Textile Art and Design in the Aalto University on Arts, Design and Architecture. She has also studied Fine Arts, and already in her paintings she became interested in repeats, patterns and building a surface. She sketches by hand; plenty of drawings inspired by the subconscious – surfaces, rhythms, lines. The ESKIMO pattern was created when she played with wooden Eskimo ice cream sticks. The best ideas come from everyday life, things that were not originally intended as art.Więcej
