Good design should be self-evident – this is the creative starting point for Apartment 8 and the guiding principle that Carolin Sangha has made her own. As Creative Director, she supplies corporate design, creative consulting and product design services from her Munich agency casa 57, with the emphasis on fashion and interiors. As a child, Carolin Sangha lived for some years in India – a country with an abundance of culture and colour that soon stimulated her creative talent. After studying graphic arts and fashion design, she worked as a fashion editor, freelance stylist, designer and art director for fashion magazines, advertising agencies and other companies. Her agency is responsible for the build-up and development of leading international brands, and she creates CI concepts and collections for major fashion and lifestyle companies. The products developed for Schönbuch under the Apartment 8 name can be regarded as a steadily growing collection of pure favourites. They include the DOTS coat hook and the LINE wall-mounted wardrobe, but also CHINA, BLOSSOM, SEAT, DENIM, the 0112. coat hanger and BEAUTY, SWING and the NINI stool.
Focus on the essentials. The LINE range gets its name from the purist look of the wall-mounted coat holder and is constantly being extended. Items are currently available in a broad palette of matt and high-gloss paints as well as walnut, white oak, oak and ash in various stain colours. Solo, as a minimalist feature, or as a monochrome or multi-coloured series, be it in pastel or neon shades, LINE is always a functional highlight. The hooks and fold-down coat rod are finished in matt, polished or smoked chrome, or powder-coated in bright red. The LINE range includes a magnetic wall element, handy for attaching notes, cards and photographs, a decorative panel, cabinets with functional interior set-ups, a shoe cabinet and a wall mirror. The perfect coat storage solution is available in almost unlimited combinations. Use even in narrow hallways and compact spaces.
